Cloud Technology

Cloud technology refers to the delivery of computing services over the internet (“the cloud”) to offer faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale. It enables users to access and store data and applications on remote servers rather than on local computers or on-premises infrastructure. Key services provided through cloud technology include storage, processing power, databases, networking, software, analytics, and artificial intelligence.

Cloud technology is categorized into three main service models: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), which provides virtualized computing resources over the internet; Platform as a Service (PaaS), which offers hardware and software tools over the internet, mainly for application development; and Software as a Service (SaaS), which delivers software applications over the internet on a subscription basis.

Additionally, cloud technology can be deployed in different environments, such as public clouds, private clouds, or hybrid clouds, depending on the specific needs for security, control, and scalability. It is integral to modern IT strategies, enabling businesses to improve efficiency, lower costs, and enhance collaboration.
